About Me

I grew up in a working-class family in Western Wisconsin, where generational trauma and addiction shaped much of my early life. Like many, I learned to survive by taking on adult responsibilities too early and disconnecting from my own emotional experience. Over time, I found moments of reprieve and reconnection through dance, movement, and time in nature. These practices helped me return to myself—and taught me that small, daily rituals rooted in presence are essential to my well-being. This embodied approach now informs not only my self-care but also the purpose and presence I bring to my work.

My Work

For over 16 years, I provided mental health and social services in correctional settings, where I witnessed the deep resilience of incarcerated men—and the systemic barriers that often stand in their way. During this time, I developed a strong desire to support people experiencing housing insecurity, understanding how trauma, incarceration, and unstable housing are deeply intertwined.

I chose to leave my work in corrections as I realized that in order for me to truly feel as if I was making a difference in my community, I had to seek work that supported advocacy, activism, and acknowledgement of the systems’ failures. This perspective shift naturally aligned with the core mission of CC We Adapt, where in 2022, I joined as a Clinical Supervisor. I am now also honored to work as Clinical Supervisor for Next Generation Mentors, a peer-led team that supports individuals in stabilizing housing, building recovery, and reclaiming their lives. I have also been providing psychotherapy and psychoeducation to participants since 2023 for We Adapt, blending trauma-informed care with holistic insight and clinical grounding.

My Approach

I bring a compassionate, person-centered lens to everything I do. My goal is to help people recognize that they are not defined by their past and that healing is both possible and ongoing. Whether I’m supporting peer mentors or working directly with participants, I aim to create space for transformation—through trust, presence, and authentic connection.
