Daily Living Skills Training

I am a mother of two amazing young adults. I am a part of the Menominee Nation
and Oneida Nation, both here in Wisconsin. I raised both my children as a single, teen
mother. I was also raised by a single mother, here on the south side of Milwaukee. I battled
with a variety of trauma at a young age and resulting conditions for many years of my life. I
have found healing in various forms of therapy including counseling, energy work, and
tapping into my ancestors’ strength and resilience. I also find playing sports and being in community to be healing.
After completing my associate’s degree at MATC, I received a bachelor degree in Community
Engagement and Education from UW Milwaukee. I am very passionate about social justice
and supporting the community. I have worked and volunteered in the community in various
organizational and support roles. I love practicing kickboxing, playing volleyball and soccer. I am a lifelong learner and enjoy helping others learn and grow.
