Individual Skill Development and Enhancement

My story and how I became part of this wonderful organization is directly related to the housing component within our community. I understand how important having a place children can call home is, may that be an apartment or house to lay their head at night or just a safe place to play. Having a mother who suffered from extreme depression throughout my entire life which eventually led to me being removed from the household, leaving my younger brother behind during my freshmen year of high school is a lived experience I will never forget.

Unlike some amazing colleagues within the organization and their lived life experiences I was not surrounded by addiction as a child growing up. Instead, I was surrounded by severe mental health issues which required me to become the man of the household at a very young age. Fortunately, I was blessed to have a very loving extended family steered by my grandparents and an uncle who taught me structure, discipline, self-respect and work ethic can take you along way!

My intentions are to show other children thru my life experiences the same path to the life they deserve by encouragement and guidance to core life values mentioned in the previous paragraph. The recipe for success starts with simple encouragement and exposure to mother nature such as getting into the woods and hiking, observing wildlife or biking to release and reenergize!
