Description
Leadership Mentors are dedicated to cultivating strong, purpose-driven leaders. They work with youth who are ready to take on greater responsibilities, refine their leadership abilities, and make a positive impact in their communities. Leadership Mentors focus on advanced skills such as effective communication, critical thinking, strategic goal setting, and ethical decision-making, both individually and within team settings. For youth involved in athletics, Leadership Mentors help develop the qualities needed to excel as team leaders, captains, and role models on and off the field. These sessions also emphasize mental resilience, stress management, and team-based leadership strategies to help youth confidently navigate high-pressure situations and maintain a strong mindset.
- Family-Centered Kickoff Meeting
Every mentoring journey begins with a comprehensive family meeting. This initial session sets the foundation for success as we establish clear objectives and goals tailored to your child’s unique needs. Think of this as our roadmap, guiding us toward meaningful growth and a successful transition when your child is ready to graduate from the program. - Goal-Driven Mentoring Sessions
Following the family meeting, your child will work closely with their mentor on the specific goals and objectives identified from day one. Our mentors use evidence-based practices to foster resilience, personal development, and skill-building, ensuring each session is impactful and purpose-driven. We also incorporate emotional regulation techniques and coping strategies to equip youth with the tools they need to manage stress and maintain emotional balance. - Accountability Through Service Notes
We utilize specialized peer support software to document each mentoring session through detailed service notes. These notes promote accountability and transparency, providing parents with regular updates on their child’s progress. After each session, you’ll have access to these notes, keeping you informed and engaged in your child’s journey. - Progress Monitoring with Self-Assessments
To measure growth effectively, we incorporate self-assessments throughout the mentoring process. These tools help us track your child’s progress over time, offering valuable insights into their development. While every child progresses at their own pace, self-assessments provide measurable data to celebrate achievements and identify areas for continued growth. - Ongoing Family Involvement
Family engagement is at the heart of our approach. We believe that lasting change happens when families are active participants in the process. That’s why mentors maintain regular communication with parents, ensuring you’re always in the loop. Your involvement is key to reinforcing progress and supporting your child beyond mentoring sessions.
