The Wisconsin Peer Support Leadership Summit is a one-day conference designed to bring together leaders, advocates, and innovators from across the state to explore the transformative potential of peer support in mental health, substance use recovery, and community services. This inaugural event provides a unique opportunity to connect with government leaders, business owners, nonprofit organizations, and peer support professionals who are all united by a common goal: to advance peer support as a versatile, impactful approach to personal and community well-being.

Purpose

The WI PSLS conference aims to increase awareness about the powerful role of peer support in Wisconsin, emphasizing its potential to foster resilience, promote recovery, and strengthen communities. Attendees will learn about effective business practices in peer support, strategies for public and private partnerships, and the versatility of peer services in critical areas such as housing, reentry, education, and workforce development. Sessions will also address the integration of technology to enhance the reach and efficacy of peer support services.

Keynote Speaker

Joanna Lohman

Joanna Lohman is a keynote speaker, leadership coach and performance ignitor. She is a former professional soccer player and member of the United States Women’s National Team. She is the first player in Washington Spirit history to have her jersey retired, honoring her 16-year playing career where she built a platform for social impact. She is the author of, Raising Tomorrow’s Champions, and an authenticity activator. She continues her influence as a Sport Diplomat and global leader who has shared her message with organizations all over the world, including: The Minnesota Vikings, The Human Rights Campaign, Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Qualcomm, Lifetime Television, Sanofi, American Staffing Association, McDonald’s, CNN and universities all over the country.
