Service Array:
Individual Skill Development and Enhancement

I was born and raised in a small town in central Wisconsin with two brothers and one sister in a very family-oriented household.   My parents were both business owners so during my time growing up they constantly demonstrated and taught great work ethics. They also showed the importance of giving back to the community in which you grew up in. During high school, I was involved in multiple sports and worked when I wasn’t in a sport. During my free time, I enjoyed being outside whether it was snowboarding, camping, fishing, or kayaking, I loved trying new experiences.

After high school, I felt called to serve in the military which led to enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. I spent four years in California and went on two deployments where I got to experience different cultures, meet new people, and train with foreign militaries. When I got out of the USMC, I moved back to Wisconsin and joined the Wisconsin National Guard which sent me on one more deployment. During my time in the military, I found that I enjoy working with others to teach new skills and to help to improve themselves in their career and personal life.

My wife and I are now raising a family of our own. We have two young kids who are both little daredevils. We are constantly being challenged with allowing them to push themselves without being over-protective.  Although it is challenging, I enjoy taking what I’ve learned with different leadership positions and experiences in life and translating that into trying my best to raise my kids.

Throughout my life and the challenges/experiences that I have faced. I have found that setting goals, whether they are big or small, can help push you through a lot. Along the way, I have found that talking to others has helped immensely. People are there to help so you don’t have to carry the burden by yourself.
