Individual Skill Development and Enhancement
I grew up on Milwaukee’s Northside in a tiny 2-bedroom apartment, where I shared a room with my brother until I was an adult. My mom worked too much, and my dad was too busy to make time for us. I had to raise my little brother and struggled academically but I never let that keep me from trying.
Regrettably I dropped out of school sophomore year due to having issues with substances and battling hard with depression and impulsivity. After getting pregnant very young, I went back for my actual diploma and hopped right into college at Mount Mary College. While there I studied Psychology and the Behavioral Sciences.
In my past and present, I have always been a strong advocate for things I believe in, and I have taken my beliefs to an activist platform. I have endured a lot of traumas from many losses to addictions, and I find that embracing family, nature, music and art helps me to keep my anxiety at bay and allows me to embrace the negative aspects of life a bit easier. My passion in life is helping others find light in the darkness.
